What we collect

When you register as a community member we collect your name and email address from your Google account, plus the phone number you provide. Optionally, you may share your gender, date of birth, city or ZIP code, interests and preferred language. Date of birth is used only for birthday greetings and special invitations.

How we use it

We use your information to issue your digital membership card, check you in at events, register your family for events, and — where you have given consent — to send you news about TAF programs and events. Email, SMS and photo/media permissions are separate choices, and you can change any of them at any time in your profile.

What we never do

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We do not collect payment details on this site — community membership is free.

Where it lives

Your membership record is stored in Google Cloud Firestore and is shared with our events site at events.tamilaramfoundation.org, so that you are recognized as a member there without registering twice. Only you and TAF administrators can read your record.

Children

Children do not register themselves. A parent or guardian adds a child as a household member under their own account.

Your choices

You can view and edit your information at any time in your member profile. To request deletion of your membership record, email us at tamilaramfoundation@gmail.com.

This policy is a draft pending review. Questions? Email tamilaramfoundation@gmail.com.
